A career in the automobile business was a clear and natural choice for Auto Purchasing Consultant owner, EJ Vasko. He has a family history rich in a variety of different areas of the automobile industry. His grandfather retired from the Chrysler Motor Corporation as a master mechanic and his great uncle, Edward J. Hugus, opened the first Volkswagen dealership in Pittsburgh, PA in the early 1950s. In addition to opening the dealership, Hugus assisted legend Carol Shelby in assembling the first Cobras. Together, they prepared cars for racing and also sale to the general public. Hugus also was an avid race car driver and competed in the Grand Prix racing. His claim to fame was being a driver of the winning Ferrari team in LeMans in 1965. While these influences were a part of creating EJ’s love for the automobile, it was the hands-on experience he gained through his father’s used car business that has made him an expert in the automobile purchasing business.
By the age of 16, EJ was more than ready to test his knowledge of cars. With supervision from his father, he bought and sold three cars before even having a license to drive. This experience turned his love for cars into a more defined art of purchasing, which would develop into a long term career. After attending college in Oxford, Mississippi at Ole Miss, Vasko returned home to put his knowledge into action and began working in the used car business.
EJ Vasko now has over 30 years of experience buying and selling automobiles. He has purchased thousands of vehicles over this time period. This experience has provided him with an amazing knowledge base of not only cars, but trucks, vans and motorcycles as well.
